How I Found Aurora: I used to be on it a year ago, but my ISP blocked aurora, so I campaigned to my parents to change ISP's after a year or so, it worked.
Character Background: CortalUX left Aurora a year or so ago, after a problem with his ISP. He campaigned to changes ISP's and did so. Unfortunately his minas_vanyar account had been deleted, so he changed his name by Deed Poll to CortalUX, and now is trying to get a home. He can be very supportive, and since his 'name change' he is not so annoying and immature. He remembers what it was like to be minas_vanyar and now tries to be mature, and unannoying, at times though he grates on your nerves.

Character Background: Well, my background is basically this. I've been playing muds of all sorts since 1993. I've been looking for my "dream mud" I guess you could call it, but never found it. I'd hop from mud to mud, none of them peeked my interest. About a month ago, I checked on the mudconnector, as I had been so regularly doing those days, and found Aurora MUD. It was just what I had been looking for. Everyone was awesome to me, Micha was the first to greet me when I created my character, and since then, I've made some wonderful, beautiful friendships, that I could never trade for the world. I love aurora and will continue to stay for as long as Jenn keeps it up.

Character Background: One upon a time (or rather, at the very beginning of time, according to the subject of this biography), a man who would later call himself Joey was born. In his own small mind, this is one of the most significant events in all of recorded (and unrecorded) history. It's been said that Joey could win a Joey Ramone look-alike contest, and thus did he choose his name. It's also been said that Joey looks better than Mr. Ramone, but since the source of that comment is Joey himself, it's difficult to verify the validity of that statement. It is said that Joey is quite a busy person, but since Joey is also the source of that comment, slothfulness seems a more likely reason that he doesn't finish many of his planned projects for Aurora. To his credit, he has managed to contribute an area unofficially known as Suicide Cliff, as well as the Moon Race, which (by a small margin) won Aurora's first building contest. He's also collaborating with Jenn on the Golden Chopstick Chinese Restaurant, and has ambitious plans for the future which he's not likely to finish for a while (see above). Joey tends to be quiet, though he's been known to perform a song or two on rare occassions, and Ginsberg sometimes recites one of Joey's brief thought-twisting poems when it's requested of him. (Joey also brags about himself when he gets the opportunity, as in this biography.) If you want to know more, you'll just have to ask him yourself, because to be honest, I'm sick of listening to him go on about himself.

How I Found Aurora: I was bored on my old hack'n'slash(ish) MUD, Discworld, and got caught by the prospect of being a 'cre' or creator
Character Background: I'm an Elf from an isolated area near the mountains, in high-altitude forests. My people developed a strange survival trait (since anyone that fell down couldn't pass on their clumsiness). There was-IS- a lot of free-floating wild magic about the placed, released by the resident Dragons, Pheonixes, and Pegasi. Those that could shapeshift into one or another of these forms were born with the skill, and were prized within the clans. A few of the weaker talents were small birds of prey, s uch as the Merlin or the Eagle, and the strongest among them were Dragons. The seperate sects of shapechanger elves broke off to form other clans, refining the talent. I come from the Dragon-Kin clan, where I and my mother were born. The gift, diluted by my father's True-Elf heritage, lays dormant in me until times of great stress. Thus far on Aurora, due to the friendliness of all of the people *big grins* I haven't had to change. I spend a lot of times lurking on other muds too, but this is my curr ent favorite.

How I Found Aurora: On the day of the great MUDQuake, in the latter half of the year 1995, a vision of Jenn appeared to Mathias while he was wandering in the lands of the Dragon, and she spake unto him: "I have founded a new land, and I entreat the e most mightily to aid me in its administration." And so, on the day that TinyEarth died and Aurora rose from its ashes, Mathias, as a friend unto the Phoenix, took up the weighty mantle of Wizard to assist in the founding of Aurora.
Character Background: One of the original Immortals of Aurora, Mathias has been with the MUD since the day of its birth, and has in that time worn a number of different names, shapes, and identities, although he has never tried to keep secret the fact that they are all a single individual. Regardless of the face he currently presents, Mathias is often found haunting his one public creation in the land of Aurora, the Cafe Borealis on Madison Avenue. While some Gods are the Gods of Building, or Housing, or Quest ing, Mathias chose instead to be the God of Coffee, Sexual Ambiguity, and Players-so-lame-no-other-God-will-help-them. He's unquestionably devoted to Aurora, but he can be a bit vague and out of touch at times, so forgive him if he doesn't know the rules of the universe as well as his fellow Gods at times. In the mundane world, Mathias makes his home at New College in Sarasota, Florida, where he studies languages and literatures, in the hopes of traveling someday to faraway countries where he will forge t how to speak English.

How I Found Aurora: I didn't find it, I founded it. ;)
Character Background: Jenn was born a poor elf in a #Wasteland far from Aurora. Eventually driven from there by the war with the hoards of Cha0s, she meandered into MUDs and has never looked back. Happily ensconced in Aurora, Jenn sees no purpose to having a real life, and only wishes that MUDchocolate tasted the same as it does in real life, however, she is willing to pass up on the flavor, since MUDchocolate is also totally calorie-free. TinyMarried to Isaac since May 4, 1996, Jenn is a happy little homemaker, and spends a lot of time idling in a Bed of Fools.
